I just recently got a new camera, and I had a fun time taking some fun pictures with it. It really takes pictures well and is very easy to get the desire effect compared to the one I was using before. I took pictures of just things around the house. If you're create you could figure out what the temple is, but I'll leave how I got that one a mystery. I cleaned up/darkened the background on them but that's it. The necklace picture I turned black and white and masked the red back into the picture. The one of the pictures is a frame collage thing my wife made. On picture one I used the flexible vignette, the second is the sprayed edge effect, the third is the brushed on effect, and the fourth is the double fade border. ENJOY!

Just for Fun - 2/13/2011 – 3:23:01 PM, Rexburg, f/3.1, 1/30 - Canon PowerShot SX210 IS, No Flash - I did this one just for fun. This wasn't going to be, but can be used for part of the assignment. This was my wifes favorite angle, so I did it for her, and she wants it as a poster now. The original quality is good enough to be printed on a 16x20 poster.

  1. These are a lot of fun Derek! I’m glad that you were able to talk about the subject matter, the photographic process, and the great new camera today in class. It has a much deeper impact on me now that I understand all that went into these Temple shots. The borders really make the composition fell whole and complete. Keep up the good work Derek!
